Or you can support the building of our new Hospice Centre either as a general donation or direct your gift to a specific part of the building to help furnish it.

Give Stocks, Bonds and more

Be tax-smart — donate publicly-traded stock and securities and avoid tax on capital gains.

The process is simple — all you need to do is fill out the Donation of Securities Form, have the form signed by the donor, and send it to Hospice Mississauga’s broker. You’ll receive a tax receipt for the full appreciated value of your donation of publicly traded stock or securities, and the transfer is easy and fast.

Bonds, Futures, Publicly traded stocks, Shares acquired through employee stock options, Units in mutual trust funds
Warrants are eligible gifts.

Gifts in a Will or Insurance

Including Hospice Mississauga as a beneficiary in your Will allows you to make a larger gift than you might have thought possible. Also, a bequest provides charitable tax credits for your estate.

Hospice Mississauga can be the beneficiary of a life insurance policy, with the benefits of that policy going directly to us upon death. This arrangement ensures the proceeds don’t pass through your estate — circumventing probate — which entitles your estate to a tax benefit.

We always recommend consulting your legal and financial advisors when making a donation in your will or of insurance. Of course we are happy to meet with you and your advisors to ensure your desired gift has the impact you desire.
