moments is Hospice Mississauga’s campaign to build momentum and action in the community to support local hospice care.
It brings the ‘stories' of hospice to life to celebrate the care, comfort and connection that is possible through the supports of hospice care. Every image, message and gesture is rooted in compassion with the belief that when we are truly supported, even our final moments can be full of meaning. It honours people experiencing hospice care, their families and inspire supporters to share their time, talents and treasure to support the moments that matter.
Hospice relies on the community for 50% of our funding.
Each year we need to raise:
$5770 to support a full day of Hospice supports
$585 to support a child through our HUUG Program
$482 to support an adult with Hospice Counselling
$226 to provide a client with one session of Social Connections
$44 to support someone calling our Hospice Help Line
The Magic of Moments
Is a heartwarming program that funds and coordinates meaningful end-of-life wishes to individuals facing a terminal illness.
From reuniting with loved ones to enjoying a favourite treat at a local restaurant, a special family dinner, a local excursion to an event or returning home one last time, each moment is thoughtfully created to bring comfort, dignity, and joy.
With the support of our caring community, we help patients celebrate life—creating cherished memories and reminding them that even in the final chapter, magic is possible.
A portion of donations to the Magic of Moments program will go to support ongoing operations of the hospices core programs and services as we rely on the community for 50% of our funding.
We’re calling on caring companies and individuals to help create Magical Moments by offering experiences or resources that bring joy to those we support.

Celebrating Magical Moments
Thanks to the generosity of a kind donor, several of our clients were able to attend our 40th Anniversary Gala, a truly special evening of celebration and joy. The experience gave them a wonderful night out, filled with laughter, connection, and a sense of belonging within our caring community. It was a beautiful reminder of how compassion and generosity can create unforgettable moments that lift hearts and bring people together.
In January 2025 two of our client families experienced a truly special evening thanks to a caring donor. Together, they attended a Toronto Maple Leafs game — a joyful outing that became their last major moment together. Surrounded by the excitement of the crowd and the love of family, it was a cherished memory filled with laughter, connection, and meaning — a Magical Moment they will hold in their hearts forever.
