Volunteer Opportunities

The following documents and information will help you understand why and how Hospice Mississauga provides service. Hospice palliative care is not provided by any one individual or organization. It is provided through collaboration and partnerships. Hospice Mississauga is one of the many partners in our community that make up your health and palliative care team.

In Home Volunteer

Visit people living with a life limiting illness in their homes, providing social and emotional support.

In Home

3-4 hours per week

Weekdays 9am-8pm

Drivers

Drive for a purpose! Volunteer and help get people to and from our weekly programs. We offer compensation for mileage.

On the road

Varies: 12-4, 10-1

Wednesday & Monday

Bereavement

Are you a good listener? How about helping a person who is living with grief by volunteering with our bereavement work.

2 hours per week

Weekdays 9am-8pm

Fundraising & Event

Do you love planning events? We need volunteers to help us plan the events that make our programs possible.

2-3 hours per month

Reception & Office

Be the first person to greet the people who come to our offices. Computer skills an asset.

Complementary Therapy

Are you trained in one or more complementary therapies? Use your skills to bring comfort to others.
